I was ESL in grade school, even though I only spoke English myself.  I didn’t question it then, but I have yet to find out why.

I enjoyed it all, but my biggest kick was reading the languages on the book spines the Moon Warriors learned in ESL. (Punjabi, Mandarin, Zoog - HA!) I guess this shows my age, but I was impressed that Malachai, at 6, knows about ESL. But then, ESL didn’t exist when I was in school.
