Ha! I just noticed Ralph Wrinkles has a bone on his plate.
I adore the detail that their heart’s sparkle. You drew it beautifully, Ethan, but it’s amazing for Malachai to select such a specific detail, rather than say the animal’s simply sparkle. In addition to the Turkey happily buying it, I love the expression on the woman’s face when their headless animal is removed from the box. I also love the slight grimness on Dinosaur Soldier/Avocado Cop/Ghost Cop’s face in memory of the indians what got killed by all them white people.
Oh my Goodness! You can imagine my horror when I read that Malachai was discussing that terrible video with his family! I got the video from our library, called, “Squanto and the Pilgrims” for ages 5 and up! Needless to say, when the video started going into the massacre of the indians, and the spread of disease that killed all the Indians, I had a fit! We stopped that video immediately and resumed our feel-good Thanksgiving ideas! Fortunately, not all first graders pay as close attention as Clever Malachai-and I hope it went over most of their heads! Needless to say, the video is now in the trash! Oh, Dear!!! Hahaha!
