I wouldn’t edit a thing. Already having the Axe breaks canon, but its funny… thus, it’s perfect.

Clearly the fire where he got the axe was happening in the building behind the Cop Station, and he grabbed it before running out of the door in the last panel.

In episode 1, he finds the *perfect* axe. He could have had an inferior axe before - so inferior, in fact, that he wouldn’t have defined himself as Axe Cop before finding that awesome axe.

The complete lack of continuity is part of what makes Axe Cop worth reading for me so this fits like a thorn in a briar patch.

The continuity doesn’t have to be broken. He found the PERFECT axe in episode one. He could have always been a cop with an axe, but only with the perfect axe could he be AXE COP

@Straw, that actually makes perfect sense.. Axe cop took the axe to the scene of the fire after going to the station, but before signing up. Then he put on his suit and went back to rediscover the axe. He was a regular cop for a full ten seconds, and only then became Axe Cop.
