I agree, the disco setup at the beginning is awesome. Haunted houses should totally do that. I also love that devil baby!
Is it a baby? or a snail?
OLD PEOPLE!!
The “regular” baby has to be the scariest part. Oh, and the DVDs at the end were a nice touch!
Agreed about the DVD. And a nice way to use that detail as a punch line.
That and I think I am in love with your concept of the “Every Monster Ever, Squished Together.”
If you’ve seen my dancing, then you would know that the disco bit would be the scariest part by far… although the real baby would come close!
Nice detail with the pants-wetting. Stay classy, Malachi.
The DVD in the end just wins it for me.
Did someone recently ride the Jurassic Park ride in Universal Studios?
I have to say, the thing with the robotic cameras would be scary, except for one thing-that they poke and stab you all the way through. That would just get irritating. It would be so much creepier if they were just there, watching you, occasionally crawling around. The subtlety would be really creepy. They wouldn’t have to do anything extraordinary, they’re just keep on watching you.
But never mind that, great comic!
@lemonlime I think that the cameras act as you say, but when you look away they creep up on you and poke and stab you, then when you look back at them they go back into the shadows and keep a creepy distance, skittering from one side of the tunnel to the other and up the walls, peaking out. Mostly all you can see is the red “record” lights in the darkness until you stop paying attention and you feel a sharp jab and one skitters off. There is just no way I had room to draw all that. Maybe one day in the animated series.
Dude, I just noticed that the teenager;s shirt changes with his expression, really nice touch.
Ned Flanders has seen that which cannot be unseen.
“The new miniseries has become quite a bit more epic than I even imagined it could be…”
Well you’re starting off with a team-up of favorite characters, of course it’s going to spiral out of control. Just ask the poor writers at Marvel and DC who have to come up with the Yearly Massive Crossovers.
I bet if you had robotic cameras crawling around covering people the whole time you could actually make some sick DVDs of it. Interesting angles, tons of footage, and lots of editing options with all those cameras going.
I love how the teen’s shirt changes from bored, to happy, to freaked out in the first three blocks. And yes, the DVD idea is awesome. I like how Malachai knows exactly how long the kids and adults will have nightmares. XD
Sorry, but the best bit for me is the zombie. For me that’s how ALL zombies should be from now on - packing heat and a blade! For some reason he makes me think of a noir zombie P.I., but you know, with a sword.
In the last block the dad looks totally freaked out.
Oh my goodness, this is AWESOME!!
