The momentum of Axe Cop is “Faster Then The Speed of Night” or a Chop!

In this story arch Malachai shows that he has a pretty sophisticated understanding of story structure. He introduces us to the concept of interacting with brains by talking about the spider-cannon’s mouse brain to foreshadow Axe Cop and his team’s interaction with the IKBG’s brain. I mean I don’t think Malachai thought to himself “I guess I’ll put an example of foreshadowing here,” but it seems that he has unconsciously absorbed and applied the concept to Axe Cop. It will be interesting to see how Axe Cop evolves as Malachai gets older and his understanding of writing gets more sophisticated (if he chooses to continue writing Axe Cop, of course).

I almost peed after the panel where Axe Cop tried to blow the dinosaur horn!

Just finished Bad Guy Earth!  It’s good to know that even Axe Cop himself has a sense of humor.

Totally just picked up BGE#3 today. Local shop, “Wonderworld”, had tons. Of all the comics I own, this series goes right up there with my signed and certified Space Ghost #1 from ‘07.

Malachai is a genius. No question.

Already got the first 2 eps of BGE and gonna get the 3rd today. I’ve been waiting to get all 3 before reading them

Mmmkay, just read the trilogy, and it was mega-funny. It’s very tough to pick a favorite part, but I’m gonna have to go with “truckchucks” ...

Bad Guy Earth #3 I bought it yesterday. The front cover review blurb of Bad Guy Earth #2 applies even more to #3. Super dense awesomeness.

I stopped reading for an hour after the two page single panel because I just could NOT handle the awesome piled on the awesome piled on the awesome.

You think it could not get any bigger, and then it does. Even after the squishing events, when Axe Cop turns himself into a new form with lava, well, that trumped the double truck. What an idea and what great art work to back up that idea. Ands then the twist, that brilliant brilliant twist.

Excellent job.

Just finished Bad Guy Earth 3. President Zombie Bear Cop for the win. Also, the epilogue, my god. loved every panel. you guys rule.

Also, I’m pretty sure a 24"x36” poster of the 2-page spread would cause a rift in the space-time-awesome continuum. but i also think it would be worth the risk.

Glorious, simply glorious. My boyfriend got the third issue and let me read it. (after all, I introduced him to Axe Cop.) I especially loved “I’m gonna beat you to holy heckies” (or something along the lines of that)

Thanks guys!!  I’m so glad you liked it.  The whole time I was drawing that double page spread I was just sort of dumbfounded at what had been conceived.  I am very proud of this book!
