I am a huge fan of all your work, and have purchased many stuff from you, but as a Bearmageddon reader, that paid to be killed in an upcoming webcomic, I feel as if you’re not living up to what you promised. I understand that you’re having problems with money and what not, but I feel a little disappointed that you took on way to much. At least thats my opinion.
Hey Kessler,
You will definitely be in the book, I’m sorry for the disappointment. Bearmageddon still holds a lot of priority for that reason.
@Ethan just so you know, I still love your work. I will be at comic-con, have your booth number written down, and have a spot saved in my schedule for the Axe Cop Panel. So, I look forward to meeting you, you’re number one on my list to see. Quick question will you be there preview night?
Yep! I’ll be there. I also edited this blog a bit in light of your comment. I do want to make sure bearicature people know I am not abandoning them and want to get Bearmageddon moving again.
I’ve been in your position. Do what you need to do, I’m just happy you are a productive and active artist who can share his talent with us. It’s hard to juggle everything, especially when you are offered such an amazing and presumably unexpected proposition as the Axe Cop tv series! From following your work I can’t imagine you EVER abandoning Axe Cop or Bearmageddon, and this makes it that much more tantalizing for me. I will wait, and continue to support you any way I can. It was an honor to be mauled by your bears, and may there be many more maulings in the future!
Glad to hear the TV series and print series are in the works. I look forward to visiting my comic shop soon!
I will await the comics dearly. Thank you very much for coming out to Denver. I realize that with everything you had on your plate you were extremely tired and busy but I appreciated the time I got to talk with you and watch the panel. I look forward to updates of President of the world. As well as President of other things to boot.
We all gots bills to pay, I understand that. I’ll be watching ther TV show and buying any print stuff you get out! Would Dark Horse have any interest in publishing Bearmageddon?
Mr. Ethan sir person,
First off, thanks for the work you do. You ask nothing from us other than our eyes, and you put out amazing drawings and stories (with the help of your brother, of course).
Perhaps something akin to what Chris Onstead did over on achewood.com, put up a tip jar. I don’t really want to buy anything else axe cop (I won an ebay auction earlier in the year), but if I could give a 5 spot to keep the servers up, I’d like to have the place to do it, ya know.
quick correction, Chris Onstad, not Onstead.
Thanks.
Good luck to you and looking forward to your return (and the toon!). Take care of yourself.
It’s rough out there for everyone—don’t let anyone make you feel bad for prioritizing paying work.
No worries, dude. Axe Cop will be glorious whenever it appears and whatever form it takes. People GOTS to earn money, so go for it.
Ethan -
You should definitely look into Kickstarter. Rich Burlew raised 1.2 million with his drive for reprinting The Order of the Stick - that obviously goes a long way to creating a sustainin a career. He had packaged groups of his online strips into books (I’m not sure who the publisher is) - and then sold them. A Kickstarter drive could raise enough funds to hire someone to do this for you (as your time is necessary to work on the TV show and doing the art) -
Totally agree with the kickstarter idea. I would go in on that.
You do what you need to do. The comic is a treat when it’s updated, but you don’t owe us anything. I’ll keep checking every day, even if you update 4 times a year.
This is just perfect to my sports and my training as a Electronic Engineering essays Teacher and Boxing.
This is just ideal & effective to Translation Services
thank you for the kind words. I am glad I was able to help.
This is very interesting post.I am really thankful to you for providing this unique information about Bellevue College. Thanks a lot.
I totally agree. Thanks alot for sharing this with us.
Waiting ......!!!!Axe Cop TV show series!!!
The comic focuses on the times he’s called away from the daily grind to help with more complex problems, such as rescuing a child from a zombie dog woman, helping Bat Warthog Man find his friends, or babysitting. This generally involves fighting bad guys from other planets. Thanks.
