so, you’re saying that you want me to give you some loose ends to fill holes with? that’s just gross.
LAST PAGE OF AXE COP???
Or last page of the Ultimate Battle?
OK, how about this: What happened in between the time Leaf Man got turned into a flying robot and the time he joined the circus?
While we’re at it, is the wrestler still a flying robot? That’s not a plot hole, but it’s certainly a loose end.
I know that we still have one last page to go and anything can happen within that one page, but I still cannot help but wonder whatever happened to Presty’s parents and the Best Fairy Ever. I was hoping to see some mad giant poison spray action!
Also, is Hasta Mia a good zombie now? Was she on Axe Cop’s team in the Ultimate Battle? (I assume that Fishy Fish’s mother was turned into a zombie along with everyone else in his village. I am probably wrong.)
Finally, did anyone accidentally get poop on them and turn into a Doody Soldier?
What is Uni-Man’s super-heroing like? What’s telescope gun cop up to? How did the now Vampire Manbabykid’s Mom mourn the loss of her child? Did Hasta Mia and Lobster Man patch things up? How did Sockarang get his powers? What were the circumstances of Axe Cop getting Wexter as his pet? What happen to Wextey, Dinosaur Solder’s kid? Why does Axe Cop’s axe grow? And why is it the PERFECT fireman axe?
What is the fireman doing without his perfect axe?
My soul weeps at the prospect of there being one more Axe Cop left. I need more! Will you look into cloning yourself, Ethan? Thanks.
Plotholes then, here we go. On top of the ones I mentioned before…
1. This one is really critical: how come EVERYONE who has a horn doesn’t just wish for a billion horns like Uni-Man did (Ask #20)? And why doesn’t Uni-Man just give everyone a horn that lets them do whatever they want, like they did in #22?
2. Why doesn’t Axe Cop just use the Poop Sucker Gun on Dr. Doo Doo? (I can’t believe I wrote that)
3. How did Sockarang know how to kill Vampire Man Baby Kid (Axe #17)? And for that matter, how did he get into Dr. Stinky Head’s base (Axe #16)?
4. Why did Axe Cop’s parents send him to Fighting School (Ask #4)? He didn’t want to be a cop then or anything.
5. The whole “Telescope Gun Cop kills parents -> Axey inspired to be cop -> Axe Cop inspires Telescope Gun Cop to kill his parents” thing is a mess (Axe #0). What would their life have been like had Mr. and Mrs. Smartist not been killed?
6. If sharks are evil (Ask #17), why did Axe Cop risk putting evil blood on Vampire Wolfer (Axe #14)?
7. As mentioned in #22, how come the Moon Warriors didn’t restore their family before seeking vengeance?
8. Why didn’t the Queen/Axe Cop et al. crap their pants too? What happened to the Queen anyway, is she dead (Axe #65)?
That’s all I can come up with right now.
A rather simple question. Everybody went to Poop Get Rid Of World. Where was Dr. Doo Doo? He could have easily escaped.
Calvin/Matt—I think Ethan meant it is the last page in this stiryline, not the last page of AxeCop. Right, Ethan?
Where Does Wexter get his Ammo from?
Doesn’t it seem a little silly to try too hard to fill in plotholes? I mean, they’re basically a natural element in the storytelling of a youngun. If you read stories written by 14, 18, even 30+ year-olds in many cases you’ll find the story riddled with them; in that case it would be a bad thing because more is expected of them, but in Malachai’s case…
What I’m trying to say is that Axe Cop is the one medium where plot holes ought to be expected - I’d even go so far as to say that they’re one of the elements that MAKE the comic what it is: WRITTEN BY A 5-6 YEAR-OLD. If we try to fill them for the sake of filling them, it begins to lose that childish element that gives Axe Cop its unique flavour.
Bluehawk, I disagree. I think that as long as Malachai comes up with the idea, it will remain just as true to form. I’m sure he’ll explain half or more of the holes with a hand wave and a boss monster anyway.
yeah, the idea is not to make the story more plausible, it is to get Malachai’s reasoning behind somethng which usually just makes it more insane. An Axe Cop story is basically me asking Malachai to fill in plot holes until I have enough to tell the story… but I don’t fill in everyone. Doing this is really just more of the same, and it just expands the universe.
“What is the fireman doing without his perfect axe? “
I have to agree with that one! What would you do if you had the perfect axe, only to find it gone and used by a cop who will “chop your head off” if you ever try to get it back?
In Axe Cop #1 we are told that Axe Cop found his axe as he was a cop, and thus became Axe Cop. However, in Ask Axe Cop #5 it is stated that he brought his axe as he went to the police station when he signed up to become a cop. Would be very interesting to see how all this actually fits together - when did he actually get his axe?
Why didn’t Flute Cop (or the transformation thereof) not play the Flute in axe cop’s band?
I just want to know what happened to Wexey, because you know it’s something hilarious.
Also, why did Dr.Stinkyhead need to trick the Uni-Family into thinking he was good, when he was in disguise? How did Uni-Man know he was evil despite the unicorn magic? Wait, there’s already a canon answer for both questions: Because Uni-Man’s so smart.
In reply to Mate and Ethan:
All right, you’ve convinced me.
+1 Respect to each of you. Obviously there’s still a lot of false assumptions I make about the writing process between you guys.
Curse ye, assumptions.
