Is there a kick for determining whether someone a real magician or not?
Suddenly a le wild handcuffs appeared!
Yeah, I don’t have a problem with the whole baby-punching thing, especilly not a baby with special super powers. I just keep going back to that image that Ethan posted when this series first started—remember Malachai punching the doll? It didn’t bother me then, and it doesn’t bother me now. I do like how Ethan’s being sensitive to this issue though. It doesn’t hurt to remind people where these crazy ideas are coming from. I can see my nine-year-old son engaging in similar imaginative trains of thought.
I think I can see the influence of the Lego games here. They have LOTS of doors that are opened by two people pressing a button at once.
Holy crap, a police officer has actually /arrested/ someone!
I think that for the first time a police officer is doing his job in the ACU instead of instantly killing the bad guy. One more thing, I saw the pictures that are on the handcuffs and I can’t understand why are they there.
P.S.What are the pictures that are on Dinosaur Soldier’s handcuff?
@super good guy
from left to right: wand, magicians hat, bunny head, deck of cards.
good eye Nome, good eye.
hey I worked really hard on that gate and no one even said anything.
Wow, Ethan, there sure are a lot of lines in that gate.
Oh thanks for noticing!
Love those bunny toppers on the gate—along with the rabbit, top hat and cards imprinted on the top of said gate.
I was going to say something about the gate, but now it would just seem insincere. Oh well, I am a Poophead, so I may as well seem insincere. THE GATE IS AWESOME!
A shame he won’t be charged with child abuse here on Magic World. Also, I found the baby punching hilarious only because it was off-screen.
But I am definitely not against it. I would totally do that in real life if I could.
I really like the Magic Cop’s Ear piece. Nice touch Ethan!
Anyone who is still freaking out about Malachai coming up with the baby-punching or thinks that other aspects of Axe Cop are “too violent” is totally out-of-touch with what real little boys are like.
I thought Malachai’s policy on babies was established very early, episode 2 to be exact. Axe Cop throws Uni-Baby into a giant robot and doesn’t bother looking for her afterwards. Anyone who’s upset about the latest developments hasn’t been paying attention =D
I have some important thoughts about the baby punching- WHOA!!! LOOK AT THAT GATE, HOLY MOTHER OF GOD, WHAT AN AWESOME GATE!!! ...what were we talking about…? ...gate…
Agreed with Brade on the whole baby-violence thing… For crying out loud, her very introduction was being used as anti-robot artillery! She was surviving perfectly fine by herself in the middle of nowhere without any guardians at all, so Axey picked her up and chucked her into a massive explosion. I think she can handle getting a little punched… it probably tickles.
The Magic Shop, hmm? Did Uni-Man pay Axe Cop up front for babysitting? In other words, is this just meandering, or does Axe Cop have $15 burning a hole in his pocket?
Beautiful script in the gate, by the way.
I think that anyone offended or shocked by the baby-punching thing had better go back to the start of the series. This sort of violent, cartoony absurdity is nothing new, and it’s one of the reasons I stop in every week to get my fill. Thank you, Ethan, for handling this as you have, and for not censoring the genius that is Axe Cop.
How come baby punching is more controversial than baby eating?
@AGOG
Baby punching is more controversial because kids are less likely to eat babies they find around the house than they are to punch them.
I think Axe Cop can get away with a lot more than other series can in this regard, because this series is more likely to be read with a parent standing by to explain that this is not proper behavior. Also, Axe Cop’s behavior is so off the wall and impossible that it won’t be interpreted as a way to live your life.
It seems like the whole baby sitting thing is more like the premise of this episode rather than the plot
