Oh man, fire dump-truck. Priceless right there.
Hmmm, Fire Dumptruck. Effective and efficient. Pretty rad, too.
I approve of the fire dump-truck. It gets the job done, and it gets the job done RIGHT.
I wish I had a vampire and wolf shield! Man, that would be cool!
oh god! not a mutant bug truck!
I want a fire dumptruck!
This episode was so REEEEEdiculous! ... and by that I mean ridiculously AWESOME! I keep trying to think of awesome things that Axe Cop and the Moon Warriors might do next, and every time I am surprised by something way better than anything I could have dreamed of.
The bullet-tooth “carmation” move seems a bit complex for only killing one enemy, but I guess sometimes that is just what you have to do. God help the poor guy who gets shot in the neck with that thing.
Axe Cop, still in his cat suit, looks on with approval
Axe Cop is awesome… And effective!
Kudos to you both, good sirs.
I look forward to future episodes and the inevitable full length movie
Hey Ethan nice episode,
I thought I’d comment to say though that I don’t think the soft brushes fit your style man. The previous episodes with the excellent line quality and stark black and white with a few grey tones are much nicer. The soft brushes add a sort of fog to the work. Just a few crits from a fellow artist. Love your stuff btw.
Hey there Ethan, this episode was absolutely awesome in its content, but I thought the wording itself was a little off.
In past episodes the language has seemed as though it could have come straight from the mouth of a five year old (for the most part), but in this episode I think there are clear signs of it being processed by you (I understand that it always is, the thing is that in this episodes it was more obvious).
Certain phrasing such as “...which involved…,” “a vampire tooth is added,” and “Axe Cop was again impressed” all sounds a bit too adult to me for the tone of the comic.
I think the young, stream-of-consciousness tone of past episodes has been a big help in accepting the fact everything in the comic is completely ridiculous and illogical. If it starts to sound like this stuff was carefully thought out by an adult, it starts to become less acceptable.
Small things like changing it to “Axe Cop was impressed again” instead of the other way around can go a big way toward keeping us in the five year old mindset. Also, even changing a few of the leading “Then..“s to “And..“s can do the trick.
This is a great comic you and Malachai have, and hopefully I don’t sound like too much of a nitpicker with my advice. I’d just like to see the comic retain the simple, light-hearted tone that’s made it so endearing thusfar.
Someone needs to put the Moon Warriors in a fighting game just so I do off their respective Lv3 supers. I would love to see Fire Dumptruck animated.
Holey Cr@p AxeCop!
Amazing work. Can’t get enough.
That vampire wolf shield is incredible. If Axe Cop didn’t exist I’d say the moon warriors were the most badass people ever. But luckily our cat suit wearing hero shines above the rest.
