As for why Axe Cop did not melt, it would not surprise me at all if he has developed an immunity to being surprised by being surprised just a little bit every day for a long time.

As for why he is not a kitten, remember, Iggy and Willy turned everyone into EVIL witch doctor cats [1], but Axe Cop was born with a secret potion inside of his body that prevents him from ever turning bad [2].

My God. 

This is actually terrifying.  Look at that giant flying jellyfish with cat legs.  Look at it!

I mean, the damn things were already pretty nasty when they were tiny and super-poisonous.  But now they’re gigantic?  And capable of FLYING?  WITH CAT LEGS?!

Horrifying.
