Man, Resident Evil got it all wrong. Zombie status is not caused by a virus, it’s just super meaness incarnate.
Awesome.
And then Fishy Fish was a zombie.
As usual, EPIC. I love this comic so much.
I love the frame where Hasta Mia kills her dog parents and when she becomes a zombie, great artistry! This just keeps getting more and more epic by the day!
I’m glad to know Lobster Man really IS a good guy. What a tragic backstory.
A few things:
1) Fishy Fish is the cutest zombie ever.
2) I’m glad my faith in Lobster Man has so far proved well-founded.
3) This is awesome.
I knew it! I knew if you got bit by a zombie you’d become a zombie! My faith in the logic of the Axe Cop universe is restored.
oh man, this comic has more drama than a spanish soap opera! and better character development
Hasta Mia definitely looks like a villain…btw SHPLOK sounds like a really awesome sound.
THE PLOT JUST KEEPS GOING. That’s what I love. Malachi’s stories slow down for no-one.
I also love how two German shepards have part-human offspring with no given explanation because in the Axe Cop world, that is TOTALLY normal.
@Constonks: Maybe the mom got human blood on her while she was pregnant?
At any rate, I still don’t like Lobster-Dog-man trying to usurp Axe Cop as the leader.
At least he had a good reason for wanting to take over the mission.
Now, they just have to save Fishy-Fish from being Zombiefied… Somehow…
Maybe their get their resident Deus Ex Uniman to fix everything again.
Oh no! Fishy Fish! *weeps bitter tears*
YES!
...that’s all.. just
YES!
Side characters like Ralph Wrinkles and Mr. Stocker have come to hold a dear place in my heart. And then there was zombie Fishy Fish. Thank you so much for your great work Ethan and Malachai! Axe Cop is a tremendous distraction.
Does this mean that Fishy Fish is evil now, or is being evil unrelated to being a zombie?
I would love to see a spin-off comic exploring the relationship between Fishy Fish and Uni-Baby as they get older.
I love ghost cop’s expression.
Man, Lobster man sure got the raw deal compared to his mean sister.
I love the line, “She got so mad she killed my lobster.”
There’s mad enough to kill your dog parents, and then there’s mad enough to kill a lobster.
Hasta Mia looks absolutely mean in that eighth panel. Those locks in front of her face in the ninth panel look suspiciously like blood.
This is epic greatness incarnate. I love it. On a sidenote, though, where’s Axe Cop’s antennae? Are they retractable?
For some reason the constant psychotic look on Sockarang’s face never fails to make me laugh. I really love the expressions in Axe Cop, they’re very animated and expressive, and working with comics myself, it’s something I plan on emulating, so thank you for that.
Hee hee… “SHPLOK”
Need Fishy Fish Zombie wallpaper
Aha! I knew it! I knew we should have all been suspecting Fishy Fish! You all were too busy pointing fingers at Lobster Man to fear the zombie toddler! Now all we have to worry about is Hasta Mia convincing her brother to try and save her from Axe Cop. And if it’s Lobster Man’s turn to be in charge of the team… Then Axe Cop is going to have to find out a way to solve a problem without any head chopping.
I think it’s funny how like, when I was a child, I created stories about a fish named Fishy Fish. (although he fought an evil shark, and wore a baseball cap, and didn’t go around being saved by cops with axes) Do we as kids just have similar thought processes? :0
@KJ Give the lobster-dog-man some credit! Hasta Mia is way too mean to convince Lobster Man to turn into a bad guy—he knows better.
Besides, if he loves hid dog parents, then he probably wants to avenge their death, while saving his sister from herself at the same time.
I see one of those “bringing them back from the dark-side” plots brewing . . . but then again, I could be wrong—anything can happen in Axe Cop.
