Success!
This is just super-high octane stuff. It actually raises my pulse. Imagine this as live action!
I can’t wait to see how this connects with the Hasta Mia storyline.
I think my favorite thing about Baby Man is how grim and manly he looks despite the pacifier and ridiculous outfit.
Now this is the summer blockbuster we’ve all been waiting for, kids.
THAT’S SO AWESOME!!!!!! DID U SEE THE FLAMING CAR? BEWARE OF CAR!
NEEDS. ANIMATION. NOW!!!
:D :victory: :D :victory: :D
More awesome action sounds “CATCH!” “CLAMP!” and “FUMBLE!”. Also, panels 6 and 7 = EPIC!!
Good, I was getting tired of that chase. Maybe now we can have some explanation for why he’s chasing a duck.
How odd is it that right as I started reading the latest pages and got to the first highway chase page, “Mona Lisa Overdrive” should happen to start playing on my iTunes?
Bizarre, but totally awesome!
I think many of us grow tired of the same story over and over with exploding eggs…no offense
Did you do all the art on this? The “Boom” frame is pretty epic… Must’ve been a lot of work
thanks “Aguy” yeah I did… the vehicles and bridge are traced from 3D models in Google Sketchup. i suck at drawing cars freehand.
@Aces: none taken, I knew it wouldn’t be for everyone. This is the end of the duck chase, but not the end of Baby Man’s story. In a comic book you would read this sequence in about 2 minutes, but in web comic form it takes weeks. It’s not intended to move so slow, but it’s the nature of web comics VS. comic books.
The baby man has defeated his mortal rival.
Ethan, I’ve loved the Baby Man Arc. The animation has been beautiful and Baby Man just looks ridiculous. Also it turns out he’s quite badass.
Man, I’ve loved every frame of this chase. Beautiful stuff. It’s amazing how well you capture the wildness and the thrill of the struggle, how potent the eggs(plosions) are and how tenacious Baby-Man is…
Have to agree with the others above, it’s great how Babyman seems to have the grizzled, gruff, tough guy role despite having a ridiculous outfit and ridiculous power. It just makes him all the more awesome.
Babyman chase for teh win. Though I wonder how the duck kept changing hands from panel to panel… is there more to this duck than its exploding eggs? Displacer duck!
Awesome awesome panel. Don’t let the haters on the BabyMan vs BoomDuck saga get to you. They obviously don’t understand the intricacies that is Axe Cop.
Very very cool panels in 6 & 7 btw. That needs to be a print hanging on my wall.
@Munchy
Yeah I want Baby Man to become the AxeCop universe equivalent of Batman.
*plays the Duck Hunt “dog lifting a shot duck” music*
I can only speak for myself, but no, I did not get tired of this, nor did I feel like I was seeing the same thing over and over again, aside from the fact that each one had at least one massive explosion, and I can’t think of any way to turn that into a complaint.
Awesome as always.
I’ve begun narrating the comics with spoken dialogue out loud. Might be because I am pretty hammered, but Lobster man sounds pretty badass from where I’m sitting.
Also this duck situation is pretty goddamn awesome. Never explain it. Ever. It must go on.
Baby Man is my favorite comic hero EVER!!!! That scene with the BOOM is so epic looking! :D
