Boss fight! YESSS!!!
Every good imagined combat since 1979 has included a boss fight. This is no exception.
Is it just me, or are zombie cops more frightening than regular zombies (but maybe not regular cops)?
Woo, boss fight! Has Malachai been playing video games, I wonder?
Oh Axe Cop, I am so glad that you are back!
. . . Along with hundreds of Zombie Axe Cops to fight the Giant Robot Zombie Boss!
Mine heart singeth with glee at the sight of this comic.
GIANT ZOMBIE BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN!
Now he has some….....................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................FIRE-POWER!!!!!!!!! (Each period is a good zombie)
Prolific, video games seem to be one Axe Cop’s biggest influences.
Zombie cops.. man, all these forces of good around, it makes you wonder why there’s any bad guys left!
TIME TO FIGHT THE BOSS!
I love it.
Has someone been playing Plants vs. Zombies?
There is no guessing in this comic: “He was the boss.” I LOVE IT
@Hexxenhammer yes we both play it a ton
-though, he actually wrote this part before we started playing that game.
Is the zombie next to Axe Cop in the last panel doing the “awesome” face, or is it just me?
A plot twist worthy of Full Life Consequences.
I wonder what Malachai would think of Left 4 Dead once he’s old enough to play that.
Dear Axe Cop, you complete me.
The only way this panel would be more awesome is if a T-shirt came out with Axe Cop standing in the front of a row of Axe Zombie Cops in some epic close to far perspective with a giant beam of light coming into focus.
That is all.
Axe Cop redefines the meaning of plot twist.
In any other comic, I would’ve been annoyed at the complete lack of foreshadowing of the boss. In Axe Cop, though, it just feels natural.
@ The Prolific Mr. Anonymous:
“Is it just me, or are zombie cops more frightening than regular zombies (but maybe not regular cops)?”
I for one think so!
The next boss was laughing at John Freeman so John Freeman said ‘YOU WILL NOT LAUGH AT ME!’ and shot a rocket at him since that was his weakness.
@Brandon
I agree.
@Hugo
I laughed for about an hour when I read that post.
Queue epic boss music?
I see many great video games, AXE COP: the video game, AXE COP 2: Wizard Ninja Bros, Baby Man: the great duck chase, Baby Man 2: Candy Candy, AXE COP 3: The Revenge of the Zombie Boss
The Boss music from ff7 just started in my head… Awesome. Glad to have you back Ethan!
“Then, the ground exploded.” must be one of my favorite Axe Cop blurbs ever.
The writing is like poetry, the fun is in the right choice of words.
I mean, ‘suddenly, the ground exploded’ wouldn’t be half as funny.
