Come to think of it, I think 9 million tons may be a bit of a high estimate, though 150 feet tall is a good guess. Modeling that as a sphere with a cone on top I get a volume of 72843 cubic meters. In the 1982 issue of “The Condor”, H. Rahn, Phyllis Parisi and C.V. Paganelli collected fresh egg samples from 23 different bird species to calculate the egg content density average as 1.031 g/cm^3 = 1031 kg/m^3. 72843 m^3 times 1031 kg/m^3 = 75000 metric tons = 73815 imperial tons. Which is far less than 9 million.

To be honest, I found that 9 million tons was way too high myself, but I also recognized that it was a totally awesome weight. In the Axe Cop universe, this is all the justification that one needs.

I must admit that I too suspect that 9 million tons is an extreme overestimate, but sounds really awesome, and in the Axe Cop universe, this is all that one needs!

So I guess this is generally the Baby family’s badass way of getting dinner?

Ah! I see that my first comment turned out -not- to be spam after all!

Well, a sphere of egg weighing 9 million tons is still not as tall as the Eiffel Tower. I could blame my error (which was confusing height with radius. Duh) on that we can’t tell from the splash page that Eggy Eggy ISN’T that size.

I still stand by my original estimate of a height of 150 meters, not feet. 150 feet is way too small; it’s dwarfing high-rise buildings in the foreground. I just accidentally calculated with a height closer to 300 meters, making my estimate 8 times too large.

But in any case, I’m perfectly happy with assuming Aaron’s justification mechanism. 9 million tons is way cooler than 1.2 million tones smile

and now, solemnly…

Good work everyone! We shall have to do this again sometime.

(Oh, and the coolest mass is a jillion. No units, just a jillion.)

Aw man, now I want gigantic deviled eggs.

Roast duck and candy sounds like a horrible dinner, though.
