REEEET!
“So I made a mask to fit over my bat warthog face”
PURE GOLD
@Hugo Iwata:
You have to keep him distinct from the actual bat warthog somehow.
Well it helps to double conceal his identity, if bad guys try to unmask him, lo and behold his face is exactly the same as his mask!
I love that panel of him looking in the mirror—his face is so goofy looking.
“I didn’t want to actually look like a bat warthog.”
How else did he think that he was going to get bat and warthog powers? You can’t bite and horn bad guys with a human face!
Also, does the bat warthog turn into a bat warthog T-rex?
Is it just me, or is the art in this page even better than usual? Seems like all the work on the book has been good for Ethan’s skills.
Someone should do a study of the biology and physics of Axe Cop.
Every night touching the strange creature under one’s house to refill one’s power…? *cough cough*
And here I thought it’d be as simple as the two animals would bleed on him. Silly me.
HOW AWESOME WOULD A GRITTY NOLAN BAT WARTHOG MAN MOVIE BE.
Is it wrong that I’d read The Adventures of Bat-Warthog Man if it was a comic of its own?
@Bug Pope Thanks man! I think that since I am only giving you guys a page a week right now I like to put some extra love into the ink work (plus I have gone back to a simpler flat gray tone which is quicker for me). I am really enjoying drawing the Bat Warthoh Man story so that is a big part of it. I love the character and I love the mood… i also love animal combos, so drawing the bat warthog was a lot of fun for me. I just really like these episodes so far, I couldn’t wait to draw them.
This origin story owns. My fondest hope is that at some point Bat Warthog Man will let the Bat Warthog out and we’ll see it fight. But even if that doesn’t happen it’s totally cool. I love Bat Warthog Man Can’t Find His Friend.
That is the law of the Bat and Warthog! At some point, Malachai must watch Island of Lost Souls.
Malachai and his rules. Fantastic.
ohhh of course, it’s a mask! that explains my earlier comment
I love that in panel 4 we see that he already had bat warthog gargoyles in his yard before he was bit.
I am lovin’ this backstory! So fun :D
Can’t stop laughing at the line “...that is the law of the bat and warthog”
It’s so poetic and ridiculous all at once
“...then it horned me.” I HATE when that happens!
