I wish all directions were “Just over that awesome ramp.”
convienience!
Not trying to be a Grammar Nazi here, but in the first dialog bubble, it should be “...there are a few things we…”, and not “...there is a few things we…”. Great new segment to the Bat Warthog series though.
A ramp! Of course!
“Not trying to be a Grammar Nazi here” well you failed miserably… I think grammar rules can be loosed on dialog. People do not speak using perfect grammar, but thanks for the note.
I sure would hate to be pulled over by Patrol Chief . . .
Man, I love how completely Axe Cop blows off Bat Warthog Man in the first panel. “Don’t you want to hear about Army Chihuahua?”
“Later, man.”
Only persons of such barbaric etiquette fail to speak using proper English!
Stop it, bad grammar can be part of the aesthetic, remember? Onward!
“The Power.” I think that’s the coolest name for a car EVER.
i’m pretty sure grammar can be overlooked here mein fuhrer, he is a six year old
“My car’s better than yours.” But - “Let’s both take them over that awesome ramp!” Heh. Boys and their toys…
Poor neglected Army Chihuahua
Army Chihuahua should drive HIS own car. It is a tank.
Hilarious, though I am quite eager to learn about Army Chihuahua.
“It’s just over that awesome ramp.”
The next time I have to give someone directions, I hope I can work that in.
Hooray, new Axe Cop!
BTW, Ethan, I think this installment is the most successful yet at suggesting the art style of the Batman cartoon. Keep it up!
That’s quite a hostile response to someone just trying to improve the comic, Ethan. The grammar mistake in the opening bubble is blatant and thus extraordinarily distracting due to your spacing out the words “there is” rather than just using the contraction “there’s”, so Ted can’t be faulted for his observation. Your reply comes across as you being too lazy to edit a single letter, which is really pitiful.
*deletes a page from his bookmarks folder*
The grammar made me stumble as well. It is easier to read when the grammar is correct.
Ethan was a bit rude, but Jerry is overreacting quite a lot. Can’t be all just get along, and unite in our love for really sweet ramps?
Grammar-Nazi….the new super-villain!
The last panel gave me an asthma attack. It is just such an awesome idea.
Sorry if it came off rude, I was annoyed by it but I was simply trying to poke fun at the fact that Ted said “not trying to be a grammar nazi here” then he pointed out what I would consider a nitpick, or at least something optional… hence, he seemed to be exactly what he said he was not trying to be. Ted I apologize if I made you feel bad, if you can imagine what I say with a smile/smirk and not a scowl hopefully you get it.
When you have been working on a page all night and day and you finally get it posted and one of the first things you get is something that seems like a nitpick, well it may not justify it, but it can ruffle the feathers. It’s like having to get out the bucket and refill it with soap and water because you missed a tiny spot after cleaning the floor. There is a lot more to fixing a typo then just changing a letter, I have to reopen a couple huge files, do some importing, exporting and resizing… it’s extremely annoying.
All that to say, sorry Ted. And sorry other nazis. (still not fixing it because I am a lazy grump).
Am I the only one who loves the shopping list that includes helicopters, dinosaurs, and a chemist?
The Power… Does Malachi watch “Regular Show” on Cartoon Network? My friend showed me one episode of that, and “The Power” was what they called their magic keyboard.
Whenever I see a grammar problem, I just remind myself that it is written by a 6 year old. Why should anyone expect perfect grammar? I know Ethan edits Malachi’s stories and all, but really.
