I may avoid Axe Cop (maybe Malachai too) on Firsts of Aprils.

It’s a good thing Axe Cop never gets hurt.  If Dinosaur Soldier got Axe Cop blood on him, the world just might implode.

It’s so sweet seeing Axe Cop out having such a good time. This strip has always been so grim that a little lighthearted tomfoolery such as this is a blessed relief. I salute you Malachai and Ethan.

This kind of reminds me of that Saturday Night Live sketch about pranking people—and Christopher Walkin’s idea of pranking the guy who always took his parking spot was to—well beat him to death with a tire iron.

Yay- we get to see the brothers in cartoon form! I love how much of Malachai’s personality we can see simply through one cartoon drawing of him.

When I heard there was going to be an Axe Cop story where Malachai was specifically trying to be funny as opposed to doing his normal storytelling, I really wasn’t sure what to expect. But having read this first page, I am suddenly *very* optimistic. =) I guess Malachai will be Malachai, no matter what kind of story he’s writing.

That intro is fantastic.  I love that there’s nothing really morbid about the thought of Ethan’s death, and Malachai taking over his job is just the way of the world.

I really hope Viking Cop is here to stay for at least 4 or 5 episodes, but I have a gnawing feeling that we’ll be seeing Pirate Cop in the very near future.
