How oddly bleak. A bit reminiscent of Carol Lay.
Why Not Go…..
Knife Hunting in Africa!!
Dare I say that this is vintage Malachai? Or maybe I am not giving enough credit to Ethan, but I love how many unexpected turns this story takes - and all the little bits of humor that erupt at each turn.
Knife Hunting is simple: Two Steps!
The detail of a man who hates to touch animals that owns a pet store….the whole comic is just a distillation of why I love how your work with your brother’s ideas.
I know I’m overthinking an Axe Cop story, but I’m guessing it only works if he touches an animal on purpose, or if it’s larger than a certain size, cause I’m sure he’s been bitten by a mosquito or had a fly land on him or something at some point.
This is fantastic. I love that the man is afraid to touch animals, yet owns a pet shop and wants to be a hunter.
Also, the explanation on the two black sons made me laugh.
BEST… AXECOP… EVER…
I can’t wait until Malachai watches Maury for the first time. Or has he already?
He saw something in the news about a white couple giving birth to black kids and that is why he decided to work it into the story.
The man who owns a pet store but can’t bear to touch animals reminds me wonderfully of the barber who is deathly afraid of hair (and wishes he’d been a transvestite lumberjack) from Monty Python. I’m sure Malachai doesn’t know that character, which only makes this more brilliant.
Good enough for me.
I bet that scientists follow this guy in droves—Lord knows how many career defining discoveries they make just by observing him!
Did Malachai get Packy’s name from seeing a news story about Packy the Elephant’s 50th birthday at the Portland zoo?
So clever! He had the power all along, but he has a convenient reason he’s never used it before.
I love the mix of real and bizarre science.
I know I’ll be happy no matter what color my kids come out.
HA! This is pretty great. Thanks for the story, Malachai!
With that preview from the site I could have sword Malachai was working in Bear-Dude from Bearmageddon.
Wow. This one is nice. The Animal Man is like the Frank Miller character of the Axe Cop universe. His power isn’t over the top, it’s simple, you could even say the power isn’t for gain, it’s more of a hindrance really.
I’d love more stories with the Animal Man. But for some reason I feel like his stories would be a bit darker.
Nicely done—I’m just picturing further stories for him. Say he uses his powers to fight crime, but then he has to get the animal killed in the end if he wants to return to being human…that could either be funny in a Malachai way, or bleak…
Not the first time I’ve said this, nor the last, but…
What the… !?!?
This would actually make a good comic series. That’s a cool power to have.
I have this odd feeling that this one would be a dark story, and Malachi wouldn’t even mean it to be.
I learn one thing more challenging on completely different blogs every day. It is going to always be stimulating to learn content from different writers and apply a little bit one thing from their store. I favor to make use of some with the content on my weblog whether you don’t mind. Naturally l offers you a link on your net blog. Thanks for sharing.

I found this site searching for Knifes, but this is hilarious! He turns into a Cheetah and it just stops? I was hoping to have some cheetah like adventure. Good stuff!
Oh, I like this picture very much. It makes everyone understand that the animals are very important!
This is AMAZING!!!!!!
This one is gold! the “timing” of the plot twists is just spot on!
Wow, has it really been over 2 months since the Guest/Presents one got updated? This isn’t to slam Ethan, of course, since he’s understandably very busy!! But you’d think at least one webcomic artist out there would be kind enough to supply a guest episode or two… :-(
Along those lines, I wonder how well Wexter and Dinosaur Soldier would get along with T-Rex and the gang from Dinosaur Comics…...
extensively specific and spectacular evaluation that you had written in the following paragraphs. I am really assured the way you look. The way you explain the whole factor is easy and understandable
