    Resuming the Dogs…

We're back with more DOGS, though, the dogs are now cat beasts and Axe Cop has taken over the story, which is good because the world needs him.

In case you missed the 5 strips I posted over at PVP last week, Axe Cop teamed up with Scott Kurtz's LOLbat.

    See you next week!

Axe Cop and LOLbat all week!

Hey, if you have not already been over to PVP, go, now!.  Axe Cop has been starring in a series of strips with LOLbat, every day starting on Monday.

Malachai had just about as much writing involvement in this series as he usually does.  Of course I wrote LOLbat's lines and Scott Kurtz gave some input as well.  It was a lot of fun to make, and Kailey did great on the colors as usual.

Thanks to everyone who came out to ECCC.  What an awesome show!  Did you see the announcement?

I'm hoping someone got video of our panel.  It was pretty much out of control.  Nobody puts a panel on like Malachai.

    Axe Cop and LolBat!!

Oh man, two big announcements today!!

OK, first I know that you probably noticed that THE DOGS is still on hold, but I drew you a brand new Ask Axe Cop, and I think we were way over due for a new one.

Well, next week we will be taking off from THE DOGS as well.  In fact Axe Cop won't even be here, he will be over at www.PvPonline.com teaming up with LolBat for the entire week!

This will be a 5-part strip written mostly by Malachai, with input from Scott Kurtz and myself.

On top of all that, Axe Cop volume 3 is here!!  So please go pick yourself up a copy.  Foreword by Damon Lindelof, Pinups by greats like Rob Schrab, Jason Howard, Kris Straub and Mike Nelson (yes, Mike did me an MSPaint pin up).

Wha else?  I will be at Emerald City Comic Con, and so will Malachai!  Come see us at the Topatoco booth.  Malachai will be there Saturday and Sunday.  We will also be doing a panel on Sunday in room 3AB at 1:00pm.  I will also be on Dark Horse's "Powered by Creators" panel at 4:00pm in room 4C1-2.

I think that is enough.  Next week... LolBat!

    Chop the Evil

We are back with the second installment of Mean Mr. Tree Face.  If you didn't do it last week, check out Greg and Kenny's comic the Ray Gun.

I thank Kenny and Greg for giving me a break.  I'm sorry the site, already moving so slow at one page a week, has needed these breaks.  It's making the Dogs really take a while to get through, but I guess the point is not always to blaze through a story.  Balancing three comic projects at once has proven to be a lot to take on, plus other things in my life.

Anyway, it is the end of a pretty exhausting day for me as I post this, so for now I'll just say... enjoy.

    Mean Mr. Tree Face!

    Hey there,

My friends Gregory Weidman and Kenny Champman did a four-page guest episode which I am running this week and next to help me get caught up.  It seems like in both web comics I am working on a major apocalypse is taking place and those kinds of things are a lot of work to draw.  Anyway, I apologize for another break in "the Dogs", but I need it!  Check out Greg and Kenny's comic the Ray Gun.

One of the coolest things I have ever seen is this Axe Cop cake made by an amazing Axe Cop fan/cake maker.  They had an Axe Cop themed party and went all out on this thing.  There are molded bad guy heads on this cake that are such minor bad guy characters I had to think for a second where they came from.  Really, really awesome.  And to make it all even more awesome, the robotic hands from in Axe Cop's face burst out of the cake holding a chocolate axe.  Here are a couple pics, but go to the site and check out the rest of the pics and the video they posted from the party,

Also, here is a short interview I did over at Crimson Monkey.

There you have it.  Be here next week for part two of "Mean Mr. Tree Face".
