Axe Cop, the CC mod (NOW RELEASED AND PLAYABLE!)

Apparently I can’t image link, that sucks. Either way, enjoy this teaser for the Axe Cop Cortex Command mod.

Bonus points if you know what the original game is. If no one knows, I’ll mention it tomorrow and provide a link. Really good game, and the Axe Cop mod is being produced by one of the content developers (and a good friend of mine) of the game itself.

Instructions on using the mod: Once you have installed Cortex Command, ( http://www.datarealms.com/downloadcc.php ) right click your shortcut and hit properties, and find target, (Or just find the folder the cortex command executable is in.) and unzip the .rar file into it. If you need a program to open .rar files for you, google winrar or 7zip. Once that’s done, load the game up play the tutorial if you need help figuring the game out, and then find Axe Cop and friends in the menu and have fun.

Notes: Wexter can be ridden by Axe Cop or Axe Cop with Lemon by moving the two right beside each other. Axe Cop will take a seat on Wexter, and that’s that. Also, tapping your crouch key with Wexter will make him Super Duper Fast Bite, while holding it will unleash his fire breath.

Again, have fun. Post in this thread or PM me if you need any help.

Here I was hoping people would guess the game. Oh well.

http://www.datarealms.com Home of Cortex Command, a physics driven game with a fully destructible environment (Every pixel you see can be destroyed.), active modding community, and as a bonus, you can support an indie developer! (You can download and play the demo, mods work in it too.)

And do watch out for the Axe Cop mod, currently being developed. I’ll link here when it’s actually playable.

Wowee, these GIF’s are awesome!

It’s a shame the max size for avatars is only 50KB, because these would be fantastic to have displayed in people’s profiles for whoever would want.

So, this is an actual, playable thing? If so, this is quite a giant leap forward.

Though I think it would still be pretty awesome to have a built-from-ground-up game.

Cortex Command itself is a well into development game already, and the Axe Cop mod is still in the making, but yeah it’s playable at the moment, just not released.

I was referring to the Axe Cop mod itself. Is this something that you have to have CC to play?

Yes, it is. But you can try the demo, which loads mods just fine, but has a time limit. The mod hasn’t been released by my friend yet as he doesn’t feel there is enough content for a viable beta at the moment.

Sometimes, modding CC isn’t easy. Such is the case of walkpaths for nonhumanoid actors.

Just under 40mb for Windows, I didn’t check the mac version, I imagine it’s not much bigger or smaller.
