The Last 24 Hours
…have been insane. I have never been an internet “meme” before, but I think today Axe Cop became one. It was really amazing to behold. Suddenly I was getting Twitter ads to the Axe Cop account every minute. I got home and searched axe cop on Twitter and updates
Axe Cop is ON FIRE!
Wow, something wild happened today. Axe Cop took the internet by storm. I am watching twitter as tweet after tweet goes up praising and linking the comic. Thanks a ton to everyone who is linking to us!
We have had a few complaints about the flash viewer. Let us know what you think. We’re considering trying a different style of viewer, we were just wanting to do something that didn’t just paste a giant JPG on the page and push the blog and everything else out of the way. Something that was still a good enough resolution too. If anyone has idea please share, especially if you are any sort of flash genius, because we are not by any means.
I’ll be working on getting Malachai to answer some ASK AXE COP questions, so if you haven’t sent yours in, now is the time. We’re looking forward to expanding the universe of Axe Cop.
I have also had a LOT of interest in T-shirts, so stay tuned, we will be selling Axe Cop shirts soon. Follow Axe Cop on twitter to stay up to date.
In the mean time, if you’re digging Axe Cop, you may dig Chumble Spuzz which is my own project which I did in two graphic novels with SLG Publishing. You can read a free 22 page preview of book one here (opens PDF), and the exclusive preview of book 2 is at MySpace comics. If you like what you read, both books are available on Amazon or at SLG.
Thanks for reading AXE COP!

Heartwarming little exchange here:
Dear Axe Cop,
I wanted to know how you made all that stuff in your stories happen. I
really like your stories! I like to make stories too. I make comics about
Luka-the-Box. I am six years old. How did you become so good at drawing? I
like your pictures!
Luka Allen, Age 6
Hi Luka!
This is Ethan, I draw Axe Cop. My little brother is Malchai and he makes it up, he is 5. I admit, most little brothers don’t have big brothers who are professional comic artists.. but then again neither did I. I just always loved to draw and so I did it all the time, and I always made up stories. So keep doing it and have fun with it. Thanks for writing to us!
This kid’s mother blogged about this exchange here. I have been so amazed at the torrent of attention Axe Cop has had today and yesterday. Thanks everyone who is helping this spread!

AXE COP FIVE is here!
Ladies and Gentlemen, I give you AXE COP FIVE. This one was rather complicated and I am already fearful I missed some of the details Malachai gave me over the phone. I did my best, but as you’ll see there’s really a lot of new characters in this episode.
Thanks for checking out the new site, we got almost 900 unique visits in our first 24 hours! Please rate us on StumbleUpon and Digg and share the site with your friends on Facebook.

Welcome to Axe Cop’s new web site!
To debut the new Axe Cop site, Axe Cop ZERO has been posted. It was written chronologically after Axe Cop 4, so that is why it is listed in that order in the episodes (also because it involves time travel and makes more sense when read after reading the episodes before it). This is the origin story of Axe Cop where we find out about Axe Cop’s childhood and what drove him to fighting crime. Malachai and I had just been watching “Batman: Mask of the Phantasm” the day he wrote this, so you may catch the Batman-like vengeance element in the Axe Cop origin story.
A HUGE thanks to my good friend Anthony for making this site possible, I think it’s really cool. Please share the Axe Cop comics using the various social networking links on each episode or on the full site. If you use Digg or StumbleUpon please rate our site and get others here.
I also invite you to comment, and Ask AXE COP a question. Future episodes will feature Axe Cop answering questions sent in by readers. You can also check out the Characters page to get a run down on the ever-expanding cast of the Axe Cop saga.
Also, if you haven’t seen it yet, watch the video of Malachai and I writing Axe Cop 3 here.
Thanks for checking out the site, please send us your comments and questions and let us know what you think. In the mean time, Axe Cop 5 is in the womb and kicking.

Axe Cop VS The Evil Singing Tree
My brother Isaiah made this video at Christmas time after I showed him Axe Cop 1. We showed it to Malachai and he was horrified… watch:
I had to convince Malachai that the tree was evil and Axe Cop was defeating it. So when we were writing Axe Cop 4, he worked in the evil singing tree as a bad guy… of course all he does is sing really annoying, but he still gets chopped down and burned with a magnifying glass and a flash light.
Axe Cop 4 is up
Axe Cop is back in a touching tale about family values. This one is a tear-jerker. I decided to change Malachai’s credit to sole writer, because he really is… all I do is organize it into art. Enjoy!

Axe Cop Interview
Here is a video of me interviewing my five year old brother Malachai about the story for Axe Cop 3. You get an idea of our writing process here. Some of the details in the story were taken from other conversations, but I wanted to capture the kind of brainstorming we do and I also wanted to capture how Malachai pronounces avocado “aducado”, and destroyed “extroyded”.
