It's true, nothing does beat Axe Cop. Thanks for reading, and thanks to Tom and Charlotte for some of my favorite guest episodes ever made! They capture the adorableness and horror of the Axe Cop universe well. There ae the cheeseball shooting moments, then the horrifying arm chopping moments. Kids are awesome.
I have been working on more pages for Axe Cop Gets Married and more Ask Axe Cop epsiodes. Still trying to get at least 100 questions done for Axe Cop and I need to have them done in time to make it into the next volume of Axe Cop. I don't have much else to say today that I didn't say Tuesday. I just need to get back to drawing.
I love these comics by Tom Martin, as I have said many times before. Tom and I are chatting about givning him and Charlotte the reins on a side project where we get a longer story out of this great team. What do you think? Would you like to see a longer Axe Cop story by Tom and Charlotte? You should also check out Tom's metal band Lich King. They did a pretty amazing Axe Cop Song.
I just found out that I got an Axe Cop panel at Comic Con! If you follow me on twitter you have have caught my lament that I missed the deadline to apply for a panel. It's been a pretty busy year. But by some pretty bug luck, i got onto a waiting list and we go a Friday Night panel! I assume we will be up against some big competition Friday night, but we're premiering the Axe Cop TV show, so that in itself is pretty big, and Malachai will be there too!
The AxeCopWedding site will only be up for ONE MORE DAY. The sale on the print, sketchbook and everything else ends tomorrow. So if you want this print, go buy one now!
Part two of today's guest episode posts Thursday, then next week we will be back on track with two posts per week and Axe Cop Gets Married will continue, as well as some new Ask Axe Cop episodes. See you Thursday!
Thanks to Mike E., creator of Rusty and Co. for today's guest episode. Malachai and I actually did work on a similar idea where Axe Cop builds his own theme park, but it never felt finished. Still may do it one day.
Well it's about time to get back to Axe Cop gets married. I have an awesome two-part guest episode from Thomas Martin that I really like, so I think I will post that next week as the final week of guest episodes. We will do both parts, tuesday and thursday.
I'll close all sales on www.AxeCopWedding.com on June 5th. If you want the print or the sketchbook, this is your last chance to get them!
One more thing. The amazing Doug TenNapel and the gang that brought you the game Earthworm Jim and the Neverhood are back together and doing a kickstarter for a new all stop-motion based game called Armikrog. You gotta see this beautiful animation, you will definitely want to back this:
Big thanks to Jeff Mumm for today's episode! Check outmore guinea pig craziness at www.JoeGP.com
Well I have returned from the forest and have cell phone reception. I went on a pretty magical honeymoon with my now wife, Jessica. Though life is crazy and I am trying to catch up I continue to float in the happiness of the last week, which was definitely the best week of my life. The wedding was amazing, pretty much perfect. Everything we had hoped for and more. Thanks a ton to those of you who helped me pull it off! With your help along with other gifts from family and friends this wedding and honeymoon happened and Jessica didn't have to spend a dime. It meant a lot to me to give her the wedding of her dreams and not make her pay for it herself. I feel very victorious. Of course now I am diving into the order fulfillment phase.
I am still taking orders at www.AxeCopWedding.com until the last day of May. You have 10 days left if you want to get the sketch book, screen print, or be immortilized in the comic. Honestly, I need to sell more of the books and the prints to make the print run worth paying for printing.
A lot of amazing things happened while I was gone. One of the most amazing is this new trailer released by FOX for the Bat Warthog Man episode of the Axe Cop animated series:
I am posting way in advance, so when you read it I will have already gotten married and will be on my honeymoon when it posts. This comic is by James Ratcliffe, who I knew from the days I used to visit Drink n' Draws in Portland, OR. He teamed up with some younger relatives to produce this tale about Axe Cop and Sword Cop. See more of James's work on his website.
Also, you have until the end of May to order this print! It is only available through the wedding campaign. Here it is all done!
