When Malachai suggested this, I assumed “Ultro Power” was a real thing from a cartoon on TV. I tried to Google it and could not find it anywhere, so hopefully we are clear of copyright infringement. Super Hypno Monkey Bat Man is enough of a risk. Anyway, never underestimate the power of a good high five.
I got to see a couple episodes from the next season of Axe Cop and they’re awesome. I have to admit, these were episodes I did not get to be as involved with as I wanted to be, but I think they nailed it. The next season airs in November, so get ready!

Chunk is a sound right? I think it is.
Well, on we go. I don’t know if I should feel shame or pride for the combination of dialog and sound effects on panels one and two, but I simply couldn’t help myself.
WeLoveFine.com has posted even more awesome Axe Cop shirts. They just keep coming!
I recently got to see one of the new Axe Cop episodes coming to FOX in November, when we start showing new ones again. It’s so good!
Also, I went to Rose City Comic Con this weekend in Portland, OR and had a great time. Malachai came too, and so did Kailey, our colorist. It was fun meeting so many people who really love our comics.
Well, more Thursday. See you then!

Introducing the alien king behind it all, Cauber Helen (pronounced Cobb-er Hell-en). I remember when I designed this character, I really liked the design but was not really excited to draw it multiple times. Part of the reason finising this book out became so work intensive. Here is two of the first concepts I came up with for the character. I pretty much went with the one that doesn’t look like a whale.
We’re heading into finale territory here! I’m excited to finish this story out.

With apologies to Matt, who requested in the comments last week “On behalf of all Aussies, please please please don’t draw us as the stereotypical, crocodile Dundee version that is so prolific in America.” First I had already drawn this page when he made this request, and I am drawing Australians as Malachai perceives them through pop culture, not as they really are, and in his mind they all own boomerangs and are good fighters. Not such a bad stereotype as far as stereotypes go. When I was 17 I worked two jobs (a day job and a night job) to save up and go to Australia and New Zealand. It was awesome. I really want to go back. I’ve been hoping some Comic Convention in Australia would invite me out at some point, but so far no luck.
Well, I don’t push Kickstarters usually unless they are from friends of mine, but I wanted to give this one a boost out of pure fanboy love of the 90’s beat’em up style video game. I still have a dream that Axe Cop will be made into this kind of game. River City Ransom is one of the greats, and this sequel looks amazing.
I think that it is also worth mentioning that there are some really awesome t-shirt designs up at MightyFine. See you Thursday (unless you are a Bearmageddon reader, see you tomorrow!).

[EDIT, 9:28PM EDT: Fixed! No more Vince Vaughn (money!), now it’s Marx Brothers (monkeys). -Doug]
Hey look a new page! I don’t have a lot to say right now, it’s been a hectic day. But you could go check out friend of Axe Cop Michael Regina’s new project on Kickstarter, Adamsville.

Sorry for no post on Thursday. I went out of town for a few days and did not leave prepared. Happily, I have a bunch of Axe Cop comics done so you should get pretty regular posts for a while now. Beyond the rest of this story, I have Ask Axe Cops all the way to #100 to post! All in due time.
Have you kept up on Rugburn’s Axe Cop series? They take the actual comics and animate the art and add audio. It’s a nice enhanced viewing experience for Axe Cop purists. The latest episode is the finale of the Moon Warriors story:
Thanks for reading. Thursday, the adventure continues.

Well, this is weird. I have been buried, working until 4 or 5 in the morning every day trying to get my next batch of Axe Cop comics done. In the scramble I didn’t even realize that I had skipped a page of the story. I think it made sense with out it, but you get a little more details with it. So this page was supposed to post right after Axe Cop and the Water Queen go to Jauber Willer to let him know they are getting married and they revise the invites (episode #183). I’ll post this as a new page for now, then in a week or so I’ll have Doug S. reorder the page where it belongs, because I have no idea how to do that.
This actually worked out, because I noticed I did not have the colors for today’s page due to an upload error. So here you go… the missing page!

Well I am no longer 32. 32 was probably the best age I have been yet. Don’t listen to people who say it is all downhill from 30. People who say that lived a very shallow life. I feel like my life is only getting started. I guess I am one of those people who looks forward to being an old man, so maybe I’m just not normal.
I’m not sure if you saw these yet, but WeLoveFine.com is making some awesome Axe Cop shirts: http://www.welovefine.com/364-axe-cop
Well, I am ALMOST done with all the content for Axe Cop vol. 5. Just a few Ask Axe Cops to go and I will have 100 of them. That’s right, I have not posted them yet, but we have reached 100 Ask Axe Cop episodes. You will get to read those after this story concludes.
Thanks for reading!

Welcome back! Well, we aired the “summer finale” on Saturday, an Axe Cop episode based on a number of Ask Axe Cop episodes including #18 (Learn Outs), #46 (World Records), and #43 (The rabbit). Don’t worry, this is not the end. This is a season break though. We have another 6 episodes in production. If you didn’t see the episode, here it is!
I wanted to promote a project my good friend is behind. It’s a tabletop RPG called Raiders of R’Lyeh and he’s trying to Kickstart it:
Other than that? I’m just trying to keep on top of everything. I’m behind on an Axe Cop book deadline and the TV show is becoming demanding again. Thanks for reading!

Unfortunately the Water Queen is a sucker for a straw man argument, and cuteness, so she dove right into whatever this situation turns out to be.
Sorry for the late post! I completely spaced on posting this week, I was so excited I finished drawing Axe Cop Gets Married and have been working on the other odds and ends I need to complete to get the book done. I forgot to post Bearmageddon on Wednesday as well. Sheesh. Last night I realized around 11pm that I had forgotten to post a new page, so I decided I would do it once my wife fell asleep, but then I passed out with her. Staying up intil 4am working every night caught up to me.
So here it is, better late than never.
Saturday night is the summer finale for Axe Cop. This will possibly be the strangest episode, incorporating elements of the Axe Cop universe like the coconut eating rabbit and the Axe Cop learn-outs into one story. I have not seen this one yet, but I will be live tweeting it from the FOXADHD twitter account during the West Coast airing.
Also, have you kept up with the series on Rug Burn? This is a separate series from the FOX series. Rug Burn animates the comics and adds audio, so it is straight from the comics and not adapted or changed. Below is the latest episode, the epic scene where Uni-Man emits mass amount of unicorn horn.
